ABOUT THE PROJECT

An exhibition space designed to become part of the display.

Commissioned by renowned sculptor Hamish Mackie, this bespoke exhibition container was created for display at the prestigious RHS Chelsea Flower Show.

The design provided a flexible space for exhibiting sculptures while acting as an exhibit in its own right. External timber cladding softened the structure and complemented the natural materials and planting featured throughout the installation, helping the container integrate seamlessly into the surrounding show environment.

A large roller shutter opening created an inviting gallery-style frontage, allowing visitors to engage with the artwork both inside and around the structure. Sculptures were displayed throughout the exhibition space, including atop the container itself, creating a striking focal point that could be viewed from multiple angles.

The result was a distinctive exhibition pavilion that combined art, landscape and architecture into a single immersive experience.
