ABOUT THE PROJECT

A riverside pop-up designed for high-volume hospitality.

Located beneath a bridge on London’s South Bank, this temporary hospitality installation was designed as a vibrant fish and chip pop-up, combining bar service, catering operations and back-of-house storage within a tightly constrained urban site.

The bar container was designed as the focal point of the scheme, featuring two fold-down deck platforms that expanded the usable frontage and created a more open, engaging customer experience. The serving counters were finished in timber cladding, softening the industrial structure and introducing warmth against the raw urban backdrop.

Branding played a key role in defining the identity of the space, with carefully applied RAL colour finishes reinforcing a cohesive visual language across all containers. Feature pendant lighting was used throughout to create atmosphere and draw attention to key service points, particularly in the evening.

The supporting containers provided essential operational infrastructure. One unit was configured as a storage and food preparation space, retaining the original container shell internally while being fitted with cold rooms for food storage, stainless steel worktops, sinks and industrial shelving to support efficient service.
